It's the first game back in New Orleans for the Hornets since Mardi Gras, and there's billions to be exited about, especially the first Buzz Fest of 2008 before the game. Now that I'm a season ticket holder I gets to drink me some free beer right there!
Our opponent this evening are the Memphis Grizzlies and if both teams play like their records indicate they should, Hornets' fans should be leaving the Arena in a fine mood.

The essential info...
Hornets (W-L): 33-15
Grizzlies (W-L): 13-36
Game Time: 7:00pm Central
TV: CST. For those of you fine fresh folks joining us from the North shore, the game will be shown on channel 318 on Charter systems throughout St. Tammany Parish, Hammond and Thibodaux. Additional Charter markets of New Roads, Marksville and St. James Parish can watch the game on channel 118. Source.
Radio: KMEZ 102.9 FM in New Orleans and WIBR 1300-AM in Baton Rouge.
Linkage: Ryan's game preview | 3 Shades of Blue
Comments welcome before, during and after the game. I'll be at the Arena so I won't be able to add to the conversation like I've been doing for the past few road games. Massive appreciation to anyone who cares to hold it down in my absence.
[Update] Hornets win, 112-99.

I will not be at the game tonight due to prior engagements. However, I hope that this is the first game that New Orleans supports this team without a marquee opponent in the building. If anyone watched the Suns game, that should be enough to make Hornets fans out of many people. One guy on Hornetsreport said that ticket sales appeared to be brisk this afternoon at the arena.

does pargo have speech problem? i think i heard him talk once, and i remember something different about him - i remember a southern accent, but i think he also tripped over some words - maybe he was nervous or maybe he has a stuttering problem. is david shy, you mean bob?

tyson out - no problem! mo pete out - no problem, chris paul only scores 2 points - really, no problem! peja and west were amazing. peja has been like this for over a month. west is finally out of his slump. we make them score less than 100 points! .5 behind first place! bowen was great in terms of hustling. hilton was great despite foul trouble! both pargo and jackson had their problems, and i think butler actually hit 2 3s! its a miracle! butler making shots! omg! someone help me!

Arena was rocking!! D-West was back to his old self (he and CP even did the intro to the game, and it was just classic... Chris: "I'm sure D West wants to say something to y'all" David: "..." just shakes his head and salutes the crowd as Chris laughs), even Butler got in on the action. Hilton played a fairly confident game. Good stuff. Sellout vs. the Grizzlies... good stuff happening here.

amazing. second sell out, against memphis? wtf? that is great, but we can't sellout when the warriors or nuggets come into town, but this team? i'll take it new orleans! things are looking up! first sweep of a divisional rival! the spurs won't get to say that this year about the grizzlies! lol!

Hey I had a trade idea I wanted y'all to comment on. We trade Melvin, Bobby and a First Rounder to 'Sota for Jaric, McCants, and Craig Smith. Minnesota would go for it because they get rid of Jaric's contract and get crazy cap space for next year. We get two awesome scores who could each ably put up 10 points a game in 20 minutes, and we get a long term back up point guard. Sota might demand Hilton instead of Melvin. What do y'all think? Also, Craig Smith by himself would probably be worth it for his solid low post scoring off of the bench. Who else is more excited about the attendance then the win tonight?

Just in case some of you guys don't know, Peja scoring 20+ points night in and night out is nothing new. Did you know he was the NBA's 2nd scoring leader a few years back. Just learned something new didn't you??

Thumbs down on the trade with Minnesota mentioned above. First of all, I wouldn't trade a first rounder for any of those guys. Second, I'd rather have Melvin and Bobby. Both are proven winners at this level, while the Minnesota guys aren't. Plus McCants and Jaric can't defend at all. It would change the entire vibe of the team. I don't see that happening.

Here's a trade that I think we could and should make to Sacremento. Mo-Pete, Hilton Armstrong, and a first rounder and maybe a second rounder for, Ron Artest. That would be a great trade for us even if Ron only behaves for the rest of this year and next. We also may need to big up a back up big man if we did that.

CP3, Artest, Peja, D.West, Chandler. That could work... Doubt it will happen though.

Jaric plays good defense and how is Ely a proven winner? McCants can flat out scor if nothing else. By my count we would be getting an extra 20 points a game off of the bench. But hey, there's gotta be a reason that I am not a g.m.
