Just a quick post this morning to get us ready for All-Star weekend. I kicked it off myself last night by dragging my ass down to Gordon Biersch for the Hornets radio show. There I was sitting a few feet away from Oscar frickin' Robertson. Methinks he won't be the last NBA legend I run into this weekend.
I also got the chance to meet Jeff Bower and Gerry Vaillancourt, both of whom were cool enough to chat with me for a minute about odd socks and other randomness.
Tonight I'll drop by the Jam Session and see what happens. I don't really have a set schedule for the weekend but that's the way I like it. Anything can happen.
Anyways, wanted to let you know that our news section is working overtime because there's so much out there to read right now. I must have linked up almost two dozen articles there this morning. To help you keep up with it all, we've modified the news RSS feed to show the last twenty articles instead of the last ten. (What the hell is RSS?)
I'll leave you this morning with a cool new ad from the Hornets, featuring Peja Stojakovic's incredible game-winner against Phoenix. Haven't seen it on TV yet, but I imagine it's coming. Thanks to Scott Kushner for the heads up.

Yeah, I like that video a lot. It's cool that they used the opposing commentary. Works well. I don't actually have a camera. Haven't taken a single photograph since I got to New Orleans. I'm planning to buy a serious camera in the summer. You know, one of those with all the buttons and the big lens. I might not be able to use it but so long as I act like I do, people will think I'm cool.

Ron, Next time you meet Bower you should try to get a job. Maybe the Hornets liaison to the fans. You would be great. Really though if you do see again, we need to Artest.

ok got some new news for you guys.<div> </div><div>as i said the orginal gordon for wright, butler and 1st round pick was agreed upon and chicago came through last minute and asked for hilton to be included. The hornets continued to talk and the deal eventually became Gordon and Griffin for Wright, Armstrong, 1st round pick and Butler. The bulls essentially put the ball in our court and we had to make a decision. The hornets has internal discusiion and this is how things broke down.</div><div> </div><div>The hornets liked griffin, scott wanted him in the deal all along because he felt that he was a capable defender coming off the bench.</div><div> </div><div>The Hornets than went into hypotehtical mode. If hypothtically they mde this trade they wanted to know what the chances of resigning gordon would be. In their minds they would have had to also make a bobby jackson deal before the break a)because of his large contract and b)because of the fact that he would not be getting anymore playing time with Gordon and griffin in the rotation.</div><div> </div><div>Eventually the decided against the deal a)because they were giving up too much young talent and b)because there is not much intrest for bobby jackson out there and therefore would likely not be able to resign gordon.</div><div> </div><div>However, the deal is not dead, the hornets want gordon and the bulls want to try and move him. The problem is the bulls want both wright and amrstrong they, like the hornets consider them great young prospects. Hornets are trying to convince the bulls to take armstrong out of the equation, or at the very least take the first round pick out of the deal. The bulls came back and told them that they wanted 3 assests coming their way and if the hornets took out armstrong they would have to include anoth first rounder into the deal. The 2 continue to be arguing things out. At the same time hornets are talking to teams trying to move bobby jackson.</div><div> </div><div>also hornets continue talks with miller, and are starting to talk to the clipps about maggette.</div><div> </div><div>However, if the bulls are not willing to lower their demand than do not expect this deal to go through.</div><div> </div>

I'm going to try to post some updates if I see/take pictures of anything cool. I'm going to the Rookie game, the skills competition, and the game on Sunday. Forgot to take the camera to the Jam Session Wednesday though. I mean, if it's even worth it taking photos of the ant-like people from waaaayy up in the 300s. ;-)

Damn Roland, if your source is accurate that is some amazing reporting. I would love to see the Gordon deal go down- Hopefully they will give up the extra draft pick and keep Hilton. I'd also like to see them pick upBirdman when he becomes eligible. Maybe the Bulls could take Ely and a 2nd rounder.

I don't care what team we trade with, but some type of trade has to go down before the deadlinefor us to keep 1st or 2nd place in the Western conference for the rest of the season

<strong>gordon sucks!</strong> do we need another short dude who chucks? we already have pargo and jackson - who are also turnover prone like gordon..can we at least try to get a tall chucker instead of short one. out identity of a defensive minded team will go out for good once he joins this team and starts with big minutes. he fouls almost as much as his friend kirk, so not only do we not get to the line, but we foul more with him on this team because he can't defend bigger and faster shooting guards cuz...he's tiny! <strong>k</strong><strong>ill me if we get this guy. he can't even start for a lotto team - and is hurt! </strong>

disposable cameras..funny how its even more late, but now i can get the name of those cameras. they're extra cheap - 5 to 10 dollars. surely with money from the advertising you get for this site, you can afford it! get some nice one for the site if you can. the rookie./soph game was fun. jarmario moooon was great, al horford is a great big - great game and booibe gibson hit a record 11 threes in about 20 attempts. i think he was the mvp. soph team totally beat the rookies. and dwayne wayne got embarrased when chuck and kenny dissed his team..asking if the high school where he is from had a F and C! lol.

f had t guess based on what inwas hearing, i would say that a deal is now ulikely. However, if some miracle happens and somebody is willing to give us a great deal for Bobby Jackson than maybe the Hornets make a deal, but still its just a maybe. The hornets feel as though they are giving up to much young assets.<div> </div><div>I think they have to look elsewhere.</div>
