The Chicago Bulls are in town to take on the Hornets on this fine St. Paddy's Day. The Bulls have lost three of four, but did have the whole weekend off to contemplate life and the wonders thereof.

Notables...
Hornets (W-L): 44-21
Bulls (W-L): 26-39
Game Time: 7:00pm Central.
TV: CST
Radio: KMEZ 102.9 FM in New Orleans and WIBR 1300-AM in Baton Rouge.
Linkage: Ryan's game preview | Blog a Bull
David West will sit this one out to nurse his several sprained ankles, while Chris Paul will try play on one leg again. CP looked pretty hobbled in Detroit yesterday, so I'm surprised he's giving it a go tonight. Too risky?
Meanwhile, Chris Duhon did not travel with the Bulls to New Orleans, which doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things.
Comments are open. Feel free to discuss the game in an Irish accent.
[UPDATE] Hornets surge late to win, 108-97.

I just read through some of the open thread comments on blog, Ryan was right about the mood over there. I don't think they are playing bad, but they are in crisis mode over there just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Down nine going into the fourth. We CANNOT lose to the Bulls at home! I'm just praying that coach leaves Bowen on the bench- and that Pargo either gets hot or stops shooting. Pargo and Peterson are really starting to piss me off.

What is pissing me off is the bulls annoucers calling for the bulls to start "knocking chris paul around." I can understand calling them to foul him, but it sounds like they want someone to come in and hurt him.

HORNETS WIN! HORNETS WIN! We have GOT to resign Bonzi Wells this off-season. Between him and JuJu- we have gone from no bench to strong bench. Coach needs to let Hilton out of the dog house, and let the Birdman get some playing time, and all will be right with the world.

CP didn't look like it was too risky. He appeared to be MUCH closer to his usual range of crazy movement than he did yesterday. Bonzi looked super solid.

Wow, what a fourth quarter. Chris Paul is some kind of demigod. Recap coming.

Great game to watch chris paul really decided he wanted to win the game tonight and in the last five minutes he won it for us. JuJu and Bonzi played really well off the bench people are gonna look at the stats and praise their offense but their defense was a huge difference in this game. Gooden was killing Bowen and as soon as JuJu marked him he forced him to turn it over. They both play great defense. Once we get West back our bench looks really solid with bonzi, pargo, and Wright all are capable of playing 20+ minutes and really changing the game when their in.

Here's the absolute key to that game. Paul not only scored like mad in that last quarter - but if you pay attention, three minutes left, he was switched from Hughes . . . to cover Ben Gordon. Ben didn't hit another shot. Paul pestered his dribble, denied him the ball and screens and forced someone else to win that game for them. Defensive mastery there.
