Great game ahead this evening with the Utah Jazz in town to battle the Hornets. Chris Paul vs. Deron Williams, David West vs. Carlos Boozer, me vs. old ladies and fat kids to get a Peja Stojakovic bobblehead. Should be fun.

Winning this one will of course give the Hornets their 55th win of the season - a new franchise record. More than that though, methinks a victory would give us a nice psychological edge over the Jazz should we meet them in the Playoffs. Gotta take care of the home court.
Feel free to drop your thoughts and observations from the game in the comments. Please keep it civil though, folks. Hornets vs. Jazz seems to bring out the hostility like no other match-up.
[UPDATE] Hornets lose an ugly one, 66-77.

WTF is it with CP3 and Williams? 0 Points at the half? Not exactly wowong the MVP voters with this performance. And for the love of God, somebody take it to the hole and stop jacking up outside shots.

No hostility here. I love the way the Hornets have been ballin'... but I gotta love the way the Jazz are playing even more. Up 18 at the start of the 4th -- WORD.

That's it- end of the third and I've seen enough of this shit, and I can't watch any more. This does not bode well for the post season- and I think CP3 might have just played himself out of the mvp race. I've never seen Kobe choke this bad.

If you ask any Jazz fan (myself included) NOBODY would have predicted this. Maybe the Jazz CAN win on the road. Neither PG can score worth a damn, but the assists are coming along fine.

Yeah, that game came down to which team could suck less, and the Jazz got it. Horrible game to watch, though I'm sure the win is soothing if your a Jazz fan.

I should state from the outset that I'm a huge Jazz fan and really enjoyed the game tonight. @Ron, I don't think that both teams sucked tonight because they played poorly. I think the offenses struggled because both teams played excellent defense. That was the best defensive effort from both teams that I've ever seen in the offensive-minded NBA. Both teams had a great defensive effort. I just think that the Jazz had a little more offense in the 3rd quarter when it counted.

Really? I thought it was more like... watching some dudes slogging ineffectually through mud for 48 minutes. Fun if the dude you put your money on wins, but I wouldn't pay to see it.

Yeah. Echo of ticktock6. Great defense tonight = no calls on either end. Boo. I'm on record of hating tick-tack fouls all game, but when there is an actual foul, you need to call it. Go read a rule book, ref.

This game was probably the closest thing to a playoff game the Hornets have seen yet. Lots of no calls. Two very evenly matched teams fighting for every advantage they could get. Not very pretty.
