I was going to write a big long post revealing the truth about Ron Hitley, but I've decided just to state some quick facts instead. Here they are:
- Ron Hitley is an alias which Niall Doherty has been using since Hornets247 first went online back in 2003.
- Niall decided he needed a fake name because he's from Ireland, born and raised, and what does an Irish guy know about the New Orleans Hornets anyway?
- Niall moved to New Orleans in December 2007. Life's been pretty damn good for him ever since.

I'm sick of lies. Next thing we'll know, and this is actually a site developed by Baron Davis who uses the names Ron Hitley, Ryan S., and N. Doherty.
Then, my world will end. But it's good to know who you really are. I had my sights on meeting Ron Hitley when I got the chance to go to New Orleans, guess that dream just died.

Dude! So weird hearing that you finally let Ron's cat out of it's bag. I was only thinking how I even have an image of the man in my head as a sort of short Ron Harper with a soulful swagger (and ironically enough I'm just out of a lecture about how WB Yeats believed that the imagination was its own place, so maybe Ron Hitley did used to exist!?!?). But anyway now he's me flatfooted Irish cousin once more with unique ears-tis all about keepin it real! Love the site congratulations on all your beavering away talk soon
