No more offseason, no more preseason. It all starts to matter for reals at 9:30 Central tonight, when the Hornets tip off the first of 82.
Feel free to talk it up in the comments during the game.

Glad the season is starting but tonight reminds me of one of the things that I dislike the NBA for, these late night tip offs. Don't they know we have jobs lol
At least we get 78 of 82 games televised here in New Orleans. The 4 we miss are really early on. Definite improvement over last year where I think we missed something like 20 games on tv.
Still 1 1/2 hours to tip off. Come on, someone speed things up.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Why why why why?
What the hell is going on? Where is CP3? Why are we losing? It's so &^*(ing typical. Every single team I'm going to cheer for this year is going to be overrated apparently. Please don't do this to me, Hornets. I need some good things. I really, really need it. Please.

Chill dude. It's still early. CP3 tends to try and let the team do the work off his assists, and then down the stretch he takes over when need be. He's still giving the team a chance to drop some shots. Lets see how this plays out.
I'm more pissed at the moment at the lack of HD. StefanC, is it in HD on your sat. package?
It's 2008, no excuse for not being in HD. Hell, in 4 months we shut down the analog towers. Get with it NBA, all games should be in HD, and downres'd as necessary to cover the SD people. We know all the arenas have HD cameras, use them.
At least tomorrow night is TNT which is always HD.

color me unimpressed with the second unit and defensive effort so far. (tiny sample size, but huge emotional investment)

Closer than it needed to be, but it's game 1, we'll adjust. It's tough in the west, no freebies.
How about Posey? What a debut. I don't think we win this one without him.

@ Juncti: Yeah it did come with the package. I have DirecTV and I ordered an HDTV DVR with it. Works great. I have pretty much twice the Channels of everything. (NBA TV, NBA TV HD, League Pass 751, League Pass 751 HD, etc) I'm loving it this year.
As for Posey. Yes it was a great debut. I love the guy. I'm mad he didn't get 2 charge calls that he deserved this game. He did do many nice other things. In particular: When the Warriors turned it over on the inbounds play at the end, Posey hugged Maggette before he went of the screens with this left hand. I thought it was funny, yet a veteran move.
In his Blog, Chandler wanted to be a better shot blocker, he got the job done tonight! Also happy that Butler hit a nice few shots.
My Biggest Concern is that we looked lost on Offense. It seemed like our guys played one on one a lot of the time, and they were waiting for Paul to do something with the ball the whole time. The D was solid for the most part. Some one on one match ups caught up with us, but not bad rotation.
Tomorrow: Suns on the road. Will be a tough one. At least we both played tough games today. Both teams will be fatigued.
