First of all, in case you haven't heard, the Hornets are already winners today since they traded Mike James for Antonio Daniels. But let's try focus on the game, since Daniels won't suiting up for the Hornets until Friday at the earliest.
So these Bobcats beat us back in November and are now 7-14 on the season. They come in having lost their last three. Our Hornets have won six of their past seven, albeit against easy competition. Hopefully they can take care of business again tonight, because the schedule's about to get much tougher.
Also, tonight is Hard Wood Classic Night, with our guys wearing 1967-68 New Orleans Buccaneers ABA jerseys, and a special Chris Paul double bobblehead being given out to the first 8,000 fans. Oh, and the Buzz Fest is canceled due to crappy weather. Sad face.

Wow, another trade should mean the Bobcats will be short-handed tonight. Apparently they just dealt Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley to Phoenix for Raja Bell and Boris Diaw. More info:

Damn... really? Suns are dismantling their old selves. Sad.

They need to do something though. They're not winning anything by standing pat.

I'm really hoping for a blowout tonight. A bunch of my friends are Brother Martin grads and absolutely drool over D.J. Augustin. Not that I don't root for the New Orleans boy, but their constant fawning over him disgusts me. I'm hoping for an extra awe-inspiring performance from CP just to belittle anything DJ does tonight. Not hating, just hoping to put my friends' lovefest in perspective.

I think it's a horrible trade for the Suns. They give up their best perimeter defender (Bell) in a conference full of lethal G/F threats (Kobe/TMac etc), they give up a guy that's been in a semi-slump (Diaw) and are thus selling him low. And they get back a guy that's a high volume shooter and really hasn't been able to replicate his awesome years with Golden State.

This game is going well. I know the Bobcats are missing some guys, but how exactly did we lose to them in November?
Hopefully JuJu gets some burn in the second half.

Assuming Paul dosn't play in the fourth, it is hard to imagine a better 30 minute game.
15 pt, 15 ast, 4 reb, 2 steals, 5/5 FG, 4/4 FT

peterson's established himself as the rightful starting guard... he and peja were raining 3's, missing only a couple between them...

@ atthehive: I've always thought Bell was an overrated defender. So he got physical with Kobe a few times. Not impressed. If J-Rich can produce alongside Nash it might just be worth it. Plus, Diaw was increasingly underperforming in Porter's system. But why the Bobcats wanted Singletary alongside Augustine and Felton, I'm not sure. Maybe trading one of the latter two down the road?
Oh, and Peja? Tonight? Unconscious. The Bucs would be proud. Too bad there were no Will Ferrell clips from Semi-Pro on the jumbotron. Lost opportunity.

Hold the phone: it seems it was us and not the Bobcats that traded Jason Richardson for Bell and Diaw:

Jeff Bower is just that good, folks.
