The Hornets are back in New Orleans after a Christmas Day massacre in Orlando. Two straight embarrassing losses leaves us at a still respectable 16-9, but in dire need of a win against a quality opponent.
The Rockets are 19-10 on the season, coming off a loss in Cleveland on Tuesday but they had won six of seven before that. They clobbered our guys in Houston back in November. They're fully healthy, we're not so much. Sounds a lot like the setup for the Denver game on Thanksgiving. Hmm.

Instead of Devin Brown, I am just going to pretend there is a 6 foot 4 black hole on the court. He doesn't even exist to me. I don't believe in him. I think it's better that way, to keep me from frothing at the mouth over yet another one of his inexplicable starts.
And really, a big black hole on the court isn't that far off from reality.

The hole wouldn't do negative things I think

Yeah, pretty hard to commit offensive fouls when you're a manifestation of theoretical physics. You're right.

Positive thoughts, guys.
Hopefully, Byron Scott has an ephiphany and goes with anyone other than Devin Brown as the starter tonight if Peja can't go

WHY IS HILTON IN A SUIT? Did I hallucinate that? Against Yao? Christ. What's wrong with him?

so no Peja, no Hilton, no Daniels (I think), and Tyson already has 2 fouls so now supposed 6'10" Ely has to play him? Hopefully Yao gets into foul trouble

Well it is close. And Devin Brown only played 9 minutes. Paul and West have been effecient. Posey doesn't have an attempt in 13 minutes.

Nice win.
Tyson Chandler: 14 pts (7-11 FG), blk, 12 rebs (5 off) in only 30 min. because of his foul trouble
We need more games like this from him

I didnt anyone there tonight I knew.
In the stands, the game was almost never in doubt. There were one or two times when it didnt look great, but we always came right back. MUCH more movement in the floor than Ive been seeing. Seems they have been reading the blogs and the dearth of movement. I cried when Devin came out as a starter. Luckily he didnt hurt us too bad. Daniels and Peja were listed as injured but Hilton wasnt. Rasual is earning his starters stripes. The officiating was so atrocious, at one point I screamed "mW is RIGHT!"
OK, the fans took some work to get into it. I can only do so much by myself. Luckily, an enabler sat next to me and by the half, I had the row in front and behind me in sync. My row had it goin on. By the 4th, the Hive was buzzing hard.
I probably shouldnt say this, but the last time I saw the Hornets lose was Game 7. I saw us beat the Rockets, the Nuggets and the Lebronistas. tt6, I filled the zippo AND replaced the flint today...
