Devin Harris leads the 19-22 Nets into New Orleans Arena tonight. Tip off is at about 7pm Central.
The Nets have lost three straight, their most recent defeat coming at the hands of the Celtics on Saturday. Lawrence Frank benched both Harris and Vince Carter for the second half of that game, but apparently they're all friends again now. Group hug.
The Hornets are banged up bad. West (back) and Chandler (ankle) will most likely sit this one out, and Hilton Armstrong (knee) is doubtful. There's talk of maybe going small or possibly starting Julian Wright. Should be an interesting night.
One more thing: the Nets are 10-8 on the road this season. Weird.

I simply refuse to try and channel Gil's sense of humor.

We got a new guy out there warming up. Anthony Tolliver, 6-8, played with the Spurs earlier this season. More info at http://www.nola.com/hornets

And JuJu gives the Hornets the lead at the half.
I'm really happy to see this... hopefully this is enough for Byron to put Julian back in the rotation. He improves this team on both ends of the floor.

Great half. Byron has no excuse not to play JuJu anymore. He's killing it. All he needed was time to play thru the jitters. Marks has had highs and lows. How about that block on Lopez? And what's up with Harris? Only 4 points. I guess those ribs are still bothering him.

I like what Coach Scott has done throughout his time with the Hornets, but he's too rigid in his system. Ju-ju & Mo pete are too good to keep in street clothes. It shouldn't have come to this.
The Zen master & pops would've kept on players like JR Smith, Brandon Bass & Birdman.

How often have we seen Peja get double figures in boards before points?

good win
the ball got shared a lot more look at how many different players had at least two assists.
and peja is showing his last season form again other teams should be afraid

Peja picking up the rebounding slack, love it. Obviously CP3 is ridiculous.

We got some serious no-calls tonight. But JuJu and even Ely looked GOOD. Marks looked OK, not horrific. I am always surprised to be reminded Peja is capable of that much hustle.

I'd rather have Peja on the Hornets than Shawn Marion. His good points: Rebounding, running. His bad points - no ability to create his own shot, an iffy jumpshot, a history of locker-room problems, will want a huge contract in the off-season, his defense is vastly overrated.
Peja still has a rock-steady jumpshot, can create his own shot, is good in the locker room, won't be asking for 18-19mil a year in the summer, and his defense is vastly underrated.
Now - in two years, when Peja is 34 and in the last year of his $15mil contract? Then I'll probably prefer Marion. Of course, Peja will be an expiring contract then, and that provides other interesting possibilities.

Peja! I enjoyed this game. Wanted that triple-double bad, though.
