The Hornets take on the visiting Memphis Grizzlies tonight, game tipping at 7 p.m. Central.
As you may have seen in our news section, both Tyson Chandler (ankle) and Peja Stojakovic (back) will be unavailable for this one. Hilton Armstrong and Julian Wright will get the starting nods again. Byron has also hinted at increasing Morris Peterson's minutes.
The 17-50 Grizzlies are fully healthy but have just two wins in their last 16 games. Both of those came on the road though, one of them in Detroit. Their road record for the season is 5-27. On Wednesday the Grizz hosted Denver and did us no favors by blowing a 17-point second half lead. Rudy Gay dropped 30 points in that one.
This will be the last of four meetings between the Hornets and Grizzlies this season. We've blown them out, beat them by 7, and lost by 5. The latter result may have had something to do with the absence of Paul, West and Chandler that night.
Ryan won't have a game preview up today, but Grizz blog 3 Shades of Blue have a pretty good positional analysis.
Other games to keep an eye on this eve (all times Central): Mavs at Pacers (6:00), Jazz at Thunder (7:00), TWolves at Rockets (7:30), Celtics at Spurs (7:30), Wizards at Nuggets (8:00). Check the latest standings here.

Darko is doubtful for tonight's game. He twisted his back against Portland and didn't play against Denver.

Cool, thanks for the info, Chip. That should help offset the loss of Chandler.

Love the banner with P J Brown's pic. Wish he was with us. We could really use him now.
Go, Hornets, tonight!

It's the Grizzlies...should be an easy win..not a game I'm worried about or interested in because the Grizz are a team that I really don't like to watch. I'll follow on GameChannel
Anyhoo, is anyone else enjoying watching the Thunder play lately? They have nothing to play for, they've had a dismal season, and are on their way to a lottery pick in June's draft and you know what? They're coming out ready to compete every night regardless of who the opponent is. They could've packed it in 3 or 4 months ago and they haven't. Good on the fellas in OKC.
Side note: Durantula (Kevin Durant) is the 2nd best nickname in the league. Best nickname: The Michael Jordan of Turkey (Hidayet "Hedo" Turkoglu) given to him by Chris Webber. It doesn't apply at all IMO and is incredibly stupid but still funny.
