Hornets in Atlanta this evening to take on the Hawks. Chris Paul will not be playing after suffering a bad ankle sprain against the Blazers last night. I'm hearing he could miss up to two weeks.
Rookie Darren Collison will get the starting nod for the Hornets at point, looking to build on an impressive showing against Portland.
The Hawks are looking nice with a 7-2 record, and are fresh off a big win in Boston last night. They are 3-0 at home this season and have no injuries to report. Not an easy task for the Hornets to come away with a W.
Game tips at 6 Central. Once again, this one isn't on local or national TV. Watch it on NBA League Pass or tune in to Gerry V and Sean Kelley calling the game on 106.7 FM.

This early season schedule is just brutal.

CP would play on a gimp ankle and still be the best person on court. But he needs to sit his bum down so he can heal!
Won't catch the game, so make some notes on Collison and Thornton please. And especially Brown^2.

Trade rumor! Emeka for Kenny Thomas: http://www.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/sports/kings/archives/2009/11/kings-consideri.html
Interesting to see how this will play out. Looks like management may be resigning to a down year.
Go rooks!

This game should be interesting. The team played hard without CP3 and hung around when he wasn't producing however can Collison open things up. This should be a fun game. Hoping I'll find a way to watch. The first 5-7 minutes will be crucial I think for Collison and his confidence.

Just heard about that Okafor/Thomas rumor. Thanks for posting, SavageHenry. I'm not enamored with the idea. Okafor can help us. I'd much rather see the team offload Peja or Mo Pete to shed salary, though obviously that's tougher to do.

Maybe they should pull a Happy Gilmore instead of trading anyone. Just win now.

I know many people have asked, but where can you watch games online?
BTW the Okafor thing I'm not completely against. As long as CP3 doesn't request a trade we'd hit the offseason with a significant amount of cap room and than the year after would have significantly more. Emeka has been playing well though I'm just concerned that DWest isn't able to rotate on defense to allow Emeka to contest shots (which he is a beast at doing).

HornetsGone... I dont want to post any links because I dont know if Ryan and Niall are cool with that, but live streams of the game are usually pretty easy to find... just do a little google searching.

Well, I just had a heartattack watching my Buckeyes win the Big Ten. Now, hoping I can find a stream for this game. As for the trade, I have mixed feelings. We need to be careful not to pull the trigger too quick. We need to wait because if we do decent without CP3 and we make a run when he is back, I'd rather us keep Emeka.

No links to illegal online streams of the game, please. But like you said, Caleb, they're pretty easy to find if you hunt around.

I wonder if the Kings would go after Peja. Don't they still love him there? The commentators sure seem to love him when they're shoving a mic in his face each time the Hornets and the Kings meet. They could use a vet like him over there. I like Peja. He's still one of the more respected shooters in the league. An expensive shooter but still one that will not be willingly left alone by opposing teams.

They still love Peja sure, but Peja just doesn't offer much more than shooting these days - and when he's off, there's little he brings to the court. Age, injury issues... Kings ain't gonna take the guy just for sentimental reasons.

I understand a team wouldn't take a guy just for sentimental reasons. But as far as Peja offering nothing much more than shooting well, that's nothing new because that's pretty much all he's ever offered. LOL!

Wow, Peja lighting it up with 15 in the first quarter. We had a stint during a Hawks run where we just played one-on-one and couldn't do anything. Defense giving up way too many open shots.

At times like these I'm happy I cannot kill anyone with just a thought, otherwise everyone would have seen Bobby Brown die when he spotted up for that 3 pointer with 18 seconds on the clock.

@QueenBee... well sort of, but in his Sactown days he wasn't so one-dimensional, dude did put up 24 a game for one season.

Well, Hawks have pulled away. We were constantly on the doorstep of getting the lead. However, we would go down 12 get within 6, go down 13 get within 8. Missed most of the second half because the game wasn't coming in well. Disappointing defense early on. Don't know if it was better second half or not. Continues to look like D-West is dogging it out there. There's upside there, just too much inconsistency within the game.

WTF boxscore line of the night: David West, 4 for 17. Anyone got a clue?

Peja one dimensional always?! He used to be considered best at moving without the ball in the league. That was with great passes in divac and webber though

Bower is spelled with an O. Maybe the offense will continue to get Peja open for shots.

It makes ZERO sense to start Devin Brown. DEVELOP MARCUS THORNTON. START HIM ASAP.
