For all the negativity surrounding fans around the globe, i am one of very few fans who see some light at the end of the tunnel.. I mean i didnt want B. Scott to go. I wanted him to change something. because he and Paul were close close friends. I mean they could have at least ended the season with Scott. Firing Scott is like telling the fans we are diverting from our 2007 - 08 magical season.. Soon enough, Even West is going to be traded( not that I am opposed to that idea as long as it nets us equal or greater value), along with Peja, Mo Pete, Hilton, Juju and everybody else not named CP3. I mean Peja, Mo Pete, and the like. Hilton should be gone, or resigned for cheap. Juju is just a mystery to me right now. I love his hustle and athleticism but probably Scott did enough damage to his confidence that maybe he will never be the player we envisioned him to be whenever he wears that white and teal jersey. Peja and Mo Pete are expiring contracts NEXT year. So our future is not yet bleak. Everybody don't worry.
NOW for this year. I also don't agree with tanking. You NEVER EVER TANK ON PURPOSE. You lose because you have no choice. Possibly because your talent level is too low, or your energy level is too low. But come on its just 12 games in, again we still have 70 games to go!! imagine us winning 40 of those 30, we'd sit right around 44 - 38 which would possibly allow us to enter the playoffs. And as we all know, in the playoffs, CP3 can play 48 minutes. West can play 48 minutes. That means a lot. Thats why they say in the playoffs, anything can happen. We should always look at the brighter side of things. I remember distinctly in a At the hive blog. something where he mentions Floyd will be calling the offensive sets. I remember him using the triangle, heavy iso, drive motion, so i expect to see a very different offense(possibly more fluid in a month or so).. again, paul will come back in one month. Paul can survive in any offense mind you. Isolation based, Pick and Rolls, Hard cuts and back picks, triangle( this one will be weird because normally a triangle offense doesnt require a true point guard), princeton, you name it, his greatness will find a way to contribute. So when he returns in about a month, everybody will be, more or less on the same page, both offensively and defensively. Okafor will be averaging 14 12 2. West will be averaging 20 8. Collison will gain enough experience to give Paul 14 minutes of rest when he returns. Peja will know how to use Okafor and/or Wests high picks to free him up. Posey will get back to shape and will need less time( 20 min/game) which will maximize his abilities. Thornton would have found his NBA range by then, and combined with his athletic and great finishes at the rim, we can find a sixth man in him( although he could possibly be off in some games, but his still a rookie). Hilton is Hilton(which is not a complement). Songaila will be used as a facilitator on the high post(instead of way out on the 3 pt line). Ike would be back and ready to rebound and score. I mean we HAVE the talent. All we have to do is learn how to fit the pieces all together and make those same pieces work 110% every night. We'd be rolling a starting five of:
Paul - Posey - Wright - West - Okafor
first sub: Collison for Paul, Thornton for Posey, Wright for Peja
Collison - Thornton - Peja - West - Okafor
second sub: Paul - Collison, West - Ike, Okafor - Songaila
Paul - Thornton - Peja - Ike - Songaila
etc...
you get the idea. so please stop all the negativity. We can talk about high draft picks if we still lose until february. but right now, NO Hornets players need to know that they have fans, that they have people backing them up, that they have a reason to play because they know that their fans are supporting them. Cheering them to WIN. And in the unlikely scenario we lose even on February, we can start talking about lottery picks, but NEVER TANKING. Always support NOLA! YAHOO! Geaux Bees!
(Note this is my first time posting here at hornets247.com so please bear with me Niall and Ryan)..

No worries, nikkoewan. Thanks for posting.
I'm not sure Posey will be winning a starting spot any time soon though. As the season goes on, I'd expect the starting lineup to be Paul, Thornton, Peja, West, Okafor.
