ORLANDO, FLA. — Orlando Magic shooting guard Vince Carter made shots in the lane and from behind the 3-point line with Hornets guard Morris Peterson only inches away while trying to contest his attempt.
Despite isolating defending to contain him, Carter virtually was unstoppable on his way to a sensational 48-point performance that carried the Magic to a 123-117 victory against the Hornets on Monday night at the Amway Arena.
"That’s incredible, I mean that was unbelievable," Magic Coach Stan Van Gundy, regarding Carter’s performance. "We had a lot of guys do good things, but quite frankly, tonight they were all in the shadow by that."
