From Elias at ESPN.com:
Marcus Thornton scored 30 points off the bench for the Hornets in their loss to the Spurs on Monday. It was the second game this season in which Thornton, a rookie, scored 30-plus points off the bench; the other was six days ago when he dropped in 37 at Cleveland. The last rookie to produce 30-point games off the bench within one week was Michael Brooks of the San Diego Clippers in October 1980.
Elias also has a blurb on Collison’s performance last night:
Darren Collison had 15 assists on Monday, the most by a rookie against the Spurs since the Bullets’ Doug Overton had 18 assists on Dec. 1, 1992.
