OAKLAND, Calif. — Without a road victory for five weeks until winning 108-100 Monday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, Hornets Coach Jeff Bower has kept an optimistic approach, even though his team’s playoff hopes have all but vanished.
After allowing 50-percent shooting and a 108-point average during a seven-game road losing streak, Bower finally saw his players defend well enough to hold a lead in the fourth quarter in closing out the Clippers at the Staples Center
