With a need to improve their depth in the frontcourt, the New Orleans Hornets remain one of the teams in contention to sign free agent forward Louis Amundson, according to his agent Mark Bartelstein.
. . .
I would say we have had conversations with the Hornets, but I dont want to get too much in specifics involving teams and everything, Bartelstein said. Were trying to move it along and its a tough decision for him.
The Hornets are interested in Amundson because he is a hustle player that can defend adequately as a 6-foot-9 post player. Amundson, a four-year veteran, averaged a career-high 4.7 points and 4.4 rebounds last season.
Besides the Hornets, Amundson is considering potential offers from the Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Bobcats.
Hopefully he will decide pretty soon, Bartelstein said.
