The news seems to be mostly stuck: Playoffs, West, and tangents to those topics, like Carl.
Congrats to Coach Scott on his win over the Heat, by the way. It’s a great story that is still slightly Hornets-y.
5 is the Magic Number for the playoffs, including tie-breakers. Thanks to CP3nBrees for prompting me to check the tie-breaker situations now that the situation is simpler.
Enjoy the posts.
David:

West has always been the undersized big man with a below the rim game. A 6-9 forward with a deadly mid-range jump shot. One of the best pick and pop big men in the game. A talented, tough-minded, clutch, late-game performer who fell under the radar in one of the most ballyhooed draft classes of the past decade. A star whose preference is to lead by example, but who’s not afraid to speak his mind in the locker room. One of the most consistent players in a league full of inconsistent players.
42 sense: A nice piece by Bob on West’s professional and amateur career.

“We don’t know what type of team we are,” Paul said after Tuesday’s practice. “While (opponents) are guessing, we’re guessing, too. We’ve got to find out.”
42 sense: I like that Chris agrees with me! Also, no date was set for David’s surgery as of earlier today. Hopefully that means he’s going to Dr. Andrews. Please be Dr. Andrews . . .

Hornets could clinch playoffs on home stand
By: Shreveport Times
Excerpt:
The New Orleans Hornets are heading home from their last multiple-game road trip of the regular season in position to clinch a playoff berth before they have to play another road game.
42 sense: This homestand comes with practices. Let’s not ovelook the importance of some good practice with our new look. The Hornets article at Hoopsworld is partway down the page.
