- He's much stronger than CP3 and should therefore be more resistant to serious injuries.
- Because of his size and strength, Williams can post up smaller opponents (like Paul), and can avoid being posted himself (unlike Paul).
- It should be expected that an injury or Father Time will eventually diminish Paul's amazing speed and quickness — and when speed guards lose a step, their effectiveness is greatly reduced.

the person who wrote this is an idiot. Cp3 is clearly better than deron williams. Size and strengh have nothing to do with being better.

D-Will can avoid being posted up? I've seen him posted a few times by guards his size rather easily. This guy's entitled to his opinion; clearly he's wrong but, it's his opinion.

Fox news lol. What else would you expect? They just take whatever position is stupid and run with it.

Ok Charlie-
When making statements as a journalist you are expected to back them up with facts, not lies.
If D-will is a "much, much better jump shooter" then why doesn't he make a higher percentage on jump shots OR from 3 point land?
source- http://www.82games.com/0809/FGSORT7.HTM
If he is a "better finisher" then why does Paul shoot 63% from inside while Deron only shoots 56%?
This is just horrible journalism.
He goes left better???? LOL. First off he doesn't. Secondly what does that matter? Paul goes right SO MUCH better. Lastly how does this back up your argument? Do guards that go left age better than those who go right?
One of your arguments is that Paul will get hurt, but Williams seems to be the one who gets injured a lot....
Anyway Charlie- Hopefully you get "downsized" during this recession and replaced with an actual journalist. You know... someone who knows how to make an argument without making things up.

@ JoJo: Great work on the shooting stats. Just to list those and some other stats for everyone:
FG% on 2-point jump shots this season:
Paul 47.4 percent, Williams 47.2 percent.
FG% on 3-pointers this season:
Paul 34.1 percent, Williams 31.9 percent.
FG% on inside shots this season:
Paul 63.1 percent, Williams 56.5 percent.
And 1's this season:
Paul 31, Williams 19
Dunks this season:
Paul 1, Williams 1
Games missed so far this season:
Paul 4, Williams 14
Games missed so far in their careers:
Paul 28, Williams 18

yes. d-will is stronger than cp and less injury-prone. that is why he missed the first few weeks of the season and cp has missed four games. because he is so tiny and fragile.
come on now. i think deron's great but anybody who says he's better than cp is a fool.
